With over a decade of federal service (five years in the United States Air Force followed by seven years at Sandia National Laboratories) Kailey Edwards brings something most small business consultants don’t: she has worked inside the federal contracting system she’s now helping others navigate it.
During her career, she developed a firsthand understanding of how government agencies evaluate contractors, what compliance requires, and where small businesses most often lose ground. She became an expert in government contracting policies, flow down clauses, and procurement processes.
What she kept coming back to, year after year, was the same gap: small businesses with real capability and qualified services were not considering government contracts or were walking away from valuable opportunities, not because they couldn’t compete, but because the red tape, legal language and bureaucracy were never built with them in mind.
